Update copyright dates with scripts/update-copyrights
I used these shell commands: ../glibc/scripts/update-copyrights $PWD/../gnulib/build-aux/update-copyright (cd ../glibc && git commit -am"[this commit message]") and then ignored the output, which consisted lines saying "FOO: warning: copyright statement not found" for each of 6694 files FOO. I then removed trailing white space from benchtests/bench-pthread-locks.c and iconvdata/tst-iconv-big5-hkscs-to-2ucs4.c, to work around this diagnostic from Savannah: remote: *** pre-commit check failed ... remote: *** error: lines with trailing whitespace found remote: error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master |

tests-mcheck: New variable to run tests with MALLOC_CHECK_=3
This new variable allows various subsystems in glibc to run all or some of their tests with MALLOC_CHECK_=3. This patch adds infrastructure support for this variable as well as an implementation in malloc/Makefile to allow running some of the tests with MALLOC_CHECK_=3. At present some tests in malloc/ have been excluded from the mcheck tests either because they're specifically testing MALLOC_CHECK_ or they are failing in master even without the Memory Tagging patches that prompted this work. Some tests were reviewed and found to need specific error points that MALLOC_CHECK_ defeats by terminating early but a thorough review of all tests is needed to bring them into mcheck coverage. The following failures are seen in current master: FAIL: malloc/tst-malloc-fork-deadlock-mcheck FAIL: malloc/tst-malloc-stats-cancellation-mcheck FAIL: malloc/tst-malloc-thread-fail-mcheck FAIL: malloc/tst-realloc-mcheck FAIL: malloc/tst-reallocarray-mcheck All of these are due to the Memory Tagging patchset and will be fixed separately. |

Prefer https to http for gnu.org and fsf.org URLs
Also, change sources.redhat.com to sourceware.org.
This patch was automatically generated by running the following shell
script, which uses GNU sed, and which avoids modifying files imported
from upstream:
sed -ri '

Use a proper C tokenizer to implement the obsolete typedefs test.
The test for obsolete typedefs in installed headers was implemented
using grep, and could therefore get false positives on e.g. “ulong”
in a comment. It was also scanning all of the headers included by
our headers, and therefore testing headers we don’t control, e.g.
Linux kernel headers.
This patch splits the obsolete-typedef test from
scripts/check-installed-headers.sh to a separate program,
scripts/check-obsolete-constructs.py. Being implemented in Python,
it is feasible to make it tokenize C accurately enough to avoid false
positives on the contents of comments and strings. It also only
examines $(headers) in each subdirectory--all the headers we install,
but not any external dependencies of those headers. Headers whose
installed name starts with finclude/ are ignored, on the assumption
that they contain Fortran.
It is also feasible to make the new test understand the difference
between _defining_ the obsolete typedefs and _using_ the obsolete
typedefs, which means posix/{bits,sys}/types.h no longer need to be
exempted. This uncovered an actual bug in bits/types.h: __quad_t and
__u_quad_t were being used to define __S64_TYPE, __U64_TYPE,
__SQUAD_TYPE and __UQUAD_TYPE. These are changed to __int64_t and
__uint64_t respectively. This is a safe change, despite the comments
in bits/types.h claiming a difference between __quad_t and __int64_t,
because those comments are incorrect. In all current ABIs, both
__quad_t and __int64_t are ‘long’ when ‘long’ is a 64-bit type, and
‘long long’ when ‘long’ is a 32-bit type, and similarly for __u_quad_t
and __uint64_t. (Changing the types to be what the comments say they
are would be an ABI break, as it affects C++ name mangling.) This
patch includes a minimal change to make the comments not completely
wrong.
sys/types.h was defining the legacy BSD u_intN_t typedefs using a
construct that was not necessarily consistent with how the C99 uintN_t
typedefs are defined, and is also too complicated for the new script to
understand (it lexes C relatively accurately, but it does not attempt
to expand preprocessor macros, nor does it do any actual parsing).
This patch cuts all of that out and uses bits/types.h's __uintN_t typedefs
to define u_intN_t instead. This is verified to not change the ABI on
any supported architecture, via the c++-types test, which means u_intN_t
and uintN_t were, in fact, consistent on all supported architectures.

Add check for missing wrapper headers
If building on a subset of architectures only, it is easy to miss
wrapper headers which are required by other architectures because
they lack the corresponding sysdeps header. The check ensures
that every installed header which is not itself a sysdeps header
has a header under include/ (that presumably wraps the header,
and perhaps also adding declarations and definitions for !_ISOMAC).
Also check for the absence of the sysdeps/generic/bits directory

Patch to require Python 3.4 or later to build glibc.
This patch makes Python 3.4 or later a required tool for building glibc, so allowing changes of awk, perl etc. code used in the build and test to Python code without any such changes needing makefile conditionals or to handle older Python versions. This patch makes the configure test for Python check the version and give an error if Python is missing or too old, and removes makefile conditionals that are no longer needed. It does not itself convert any code from another language to Python, and does not remove any compatibility with older Python versions from existing scripts. Tested for x86_64. * configure.ac (PYTHON_PROG): Use AC_CHECK_PROG_VER. Set critic_missing for versions before 3.4. * configure: Regenerated. * manual/install.texi (Tools for Compilation): Document requirement for Python to build glibc. * INSTALL: Regenerated. * Rules [PYTHON]: Make code unconditional. * benchtests/Makefile [PYTHON]: Likewise. * conform/Makefile [PYTHON]: Likewise. * manual/Makefile [PYTHON]: Likewise. * math/Makefile [PYTHON]: Likewise. |

Suppress internal declarations for most of the testsuite.
This patch adds a new build module called 'testsuite'.
IS_IN (testsuite) implies _ISOMAC, as do IS_IN_build and __cplusplus
(which means several ad-hoc tests for __cplusplus can go away).
libc-symbols.h now suppresses almost all of *itself* when _ISOMAC is
defined; in particular, _ISOMAC mode does not get config.h
automatically anymore.
There are still quite a few tests that need to see internal gunk of
one variety or another. For them, we now have 'tests-internal' and
'test-internal-extras'; files in this category will still be compiled
with MODULE_NAME=nonlib, and everything proceeds as it always has.
The bulk of this patch is moving tests from 'tests' to
'tests-internal'. There is also 'tests-static-internal', which has
the same effect on files in 'tests-static', and 'modules-names-tests',
which has the *inverse* effect on files in 'modules-names' (it's
inverted because most of the things in modules-names are *not* tests).
For both of these, the file must appear in *both* the new variable and
the old one.
There is also now a special case for when libc-symbols.h is included
without MODULE_NAME being defined at all. (This happens during the
creation of libc-modules.h, and also when preprocessing Versions
files.) When this happens, IS_IN is set to be always false and
_ISOMAC is *not* defined, which was the status quo, but now it's
explicit.
The remaining changes to C source files in this patch seemed likely to
cause problems in the absence of the main change. They should be
relatively self-explanatory. In a few cases I duplicated a definition
from an internal header rather than move the test to tests-internal;
this was a judgement call each time and I'm happy to change those
however reviewers feel is more appropriate.
* Makerules: New subdir configuration variables 'tests-internal'
and 'test-internal-extras'. Test files in these categories will
still be compiled with MODULE_NAME=nonlib. Test files in the
existing categories (tests, xtests, test-srcs, test-extras) are
now compiled with MODULE_NAME=testsuite.
New subdir configuration variable 'modules-names-tests'. Files
which are in both 'modules-names' and 'modules-names-tests' will
be compiled with MODULE_NAME=testsuite instead of
MODULE_NAME=extramodules.
(gen-as-const-headers): Move to tests-internal.
(do-tests-clean, common-mostlyclean): Support tests-internal.
* Makeconfig (built-modules): Add testsuite.
* Makefile: Change libof-check-installed-headers-c and
libof-check-installed-headers-cxx to 'testsuite'.
* Rules: Likewise. Support tests-internal.
* benchtests/strcoll-inputs/filelist#en_US.UTF-8:
Remove extra-modules.mk.
* config.h.in: Don't check for __OPTIMIZE__ or __FAST_MATH__ here.
* include/libc-symbols.h: Move definitions of _GNU_SOURCE,
PASTE_NAME, PASTE_NAME1, IN_MODULE, IS_IN, and IS_IN_LIB to the
very top of the file and rationalize their order.
If MODULE_NAME is not defined at all, define IS_IN to always be
false, and don't define _ISOMAC.
If any of IS_IN (testsuite), IS_IN_build, or __cplusplus are
true, define _ISOMAC and suppress everything else in this file,
starting with the inclusion of config.h.
Do check for inappropriate definitions of __OPTIMIZE__ and
__FAST_MATH__ here, but only if _ISOMAC is not defined.
Correct some out-of-date commentary.
* include/math.h: If _ISOMAC is defined, undefine NO_LONG_DOUBLE
and _Mlong_double_ before including math.h.
* include/string.h: If _ISOMAC is defined, don't expose
_STRING_ARCH_unaligned. Move a comment to a more appropriate
location.

Fix pretty printer tests for run-built-tests == no
In my change to add configure tests for python I had a brainfart where I tried to filter out unsupported tests from tests-printers-programs instead of tests-printers to select tests to build. I realize now that all of that is completely unnecessary and it would be safe to just build the tests as long as we don't try to run it. This patch reverts that bit of the change. Fix tests-printers handling for cross compiling.
The pretty-printers changes resulted in the new tests showing as UNRESOLVED (missing .out files) when run-built-tests = no, so resulting in "make check" exiting with error status. https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-testresults/2016-q4/msg00014.html This patch moves the use of $(tests-printers) when generating the summary of results into the setting of tests-expected, which is appropriately conditional, matching the conditional for when tests depends on $(tests-printers-out). Add pretty printers for the NPTL lock types
This patch adds pretty printers for the following NPTL types: - pthread_mutex_t - pthread_mutexattr_t - pthread_cond_t - pthread_condattr_t - pthread_rwlock_t - pthread_rwlockattr_t To load the pretty printers into your gdb session, do the following: python import sys sys.path.insert(0, '/path/to/glibc/build/nptl/pretty-printers') end source /path/to/glibc/source/pretty-printers/nptl-printers.py You can check which printers are registered and enabled by issuing the 'info pretty-printer' gdb command. Printers should trigger automatically when trying to print a variable of one of the types mentioned above. The printers are architecture-independent, and were tested on an AMD64 running Ubuntu 14.04 and an x86 VM running Fedora 24. In order to work, the printers need to know the values of various flags that are scattered throughout pthread.h and pthreadP.h as enums and #defines. Since replicating these constants in the printers file itself would create a maintenance burden, I wrote a script called gen-py-const.awk that Makerules uses to extract the constants. This script is pretty much the same as gen-as-const.awk, except it doesn't cast the constant values to 'long' and is thorougly documented. The constants need only to be enumerated in a .pysym file, which is then referenced by a Make variable called gen-py-const-headers. As for the install directory, I discussed this with Mike Frysinger and Siddhesh Poyarekar, and we agreed that it can be handled in a separate patch, and shouldn't block merging of this one. In addition, I've written a series of test cases for the pretty printers. Each lock type (mutex, condvar and rwlock) has two test programs, one for itself and other for its related 'attributes' object. Each test program in turn has a PExpect-based Python script that drives gdb and compares its output to the expected printer's. The tests run on the glibc host, which is assumed to have both gdb and PExpect; if either is absent the tests will fail with code 77 (UNSUPPORTED). For cross-testing you should use cross-test-ssh.sh as test-wrapper. I've tested the printers on both native builds and a cross build using a Beaglebone Black running Debian, with the build system's filesystem shared with the board through NFS. Finally, I've written a README that explains all this and more. * INSTALL: Regenerated. * Makeconfig: Add comments and whitespace to make the control flow clearer. Do not generate UNRESOLVED results for run-built-tests = no.
Testing with run-built-tests = no generates many UNRESOLVED results in tests.sum (and so in the output of "make check"), for all the tests that are only compiled and not run in such a configuration. This doesn't seem useful in the "make check" output, and also causes "make check" to exist with error status even when all tests that can be run in such a configuration passed. This patch changes it not to consider those tests when generating subdir-tests.sum, and so tests.sum, so that you get a smaller number of tests considered in the final results rather than a huge pile of UNRESOLVED. Tested with a cross-compiler to ARM in a run-built-tests = no configuration. * Rules (tests-expected): New variable, depending on $(run-built-tests). Handle tests-unsupported if run-built-tests = no.
The tests-unsupported variable lists tests that should neither be compiled nor run, because some support needed to compile them is missing. The implementation of this feature involves having a rule to create .out files for these tests that takes precedence over the default rule. This does not work in the run-built-tests = no case (cross compiling without use of a wrapper to run the tests on a separate system, in which cases most tests are compiled only) because in that case the tests target depends on $(tests) to ensure all tests get compiled. This patch changes that dependency to filter out $(tests-unsupported). Tested with cross-compilation to ARM with GCC 5, where libstdc++ is missing some C++11 support because of the bug I fixed in <https://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2015-10/msg01040.html> and so tests-unsupported is nonempty and the tests in question fail to compile. (When I originally observed the bug, it was with a native build / test simply using an x86_64 compiler that had been configured as a cross compiler to isolate it from the system headers / libraries, so the configuration issue applied to the compiler but run-built-tests was yes, so I don't observe the issue with tests-unsupported with that compiler.) * Rules [$(run-built-tests) = no] (tests): Do not depend on $(tests-unsupported). |

Installed header hygiene (BZ#20366): Test of installed headers.
This adds a test to ensure that the problems fixed in the last several patches do not recur. Each directory checks the headers that it installs for two properties: first, each header must be compilable in isolation, as both C and C++, under a representative combination of language and library conformance levels; second, there is a blacklist of identifiers that may not appear in any installed header, currently consisting of the legacy BSD typedefs. (There is an exemption for the headers that define those typedefs, and for the RPC headers. It may be necessary to make this more sophisticated if we add more stuff to the blacklist in the future.) In order for this test to work correctly, every wrapper header that actually defines something must guard those definitions with #ifndef _ISOMAC. This is the existing mechanism used by the conform/ tests to tell wrapper headers not to define anything that the public header wouldn't, and not to use anything from libc-symbols.h. conform/ only cares for headers that we need to check for standards conformance, whereas this test applies to *every* header. (Headers in include/ that are either installed directly, or are internal-use-only and do *not* correspond to any installed header, are not affected.) * scripts/check-installed-headers.sh: New script. * Rules: In each directory that defines header files to be installed, run check-installed-headers.sh on them as a special test. * Makefile: Likewise for the headers installed at top level. * include/aliases.h, include/alloca.h, include/argz.h * include/arpa/nameser.h, include/arpa/nameser_compat.h * include/elf.h, include/envz.h, include/err.h * include/execinfo.h, include/fpu_control.h, include/getopt.h * include/gshadow.h, include/ifaddrs.h, include/libintl.h * include/link.h, include/malloc.h, include/mcheck.h * include/mntent.h, include/netinet/ether.h * include/nss.h, include/obstack.h, include/printf.h * include/pty.h, include/resolv.h, include/rpc/auth.h * include/rpc/auth_des.h, include/rpc/auth_unix.h * include/rpc/clnt.h, include/rpc/des_crypt.h * include/rpc/key_prot.h, include/rpc/netdb.h * include/rpc/pmap_clnt.h, include/rpc/pmap_prot.h * include/rpc/pmap_rmt.h, include/rpc/rpc.h * include/rpc/rpc_msg.h, include/rpc/svc.h * include/rpc/svc_auth.h, include/rpc/xdr.h * include/rpcsvc/nis_callback.h, include/rpcsvc/nislib.h * include/rpcsvc/yp.h, include/rpcsvc/ypclnt.h * include/rpcsvc/ypupd.h, include/shadow.h * include/stdio_ext.h, include/sys/epoll.h * include/sys/file.h, include/sys/gmon.h, include/sys/ioctl.h * include/sys/prctl.h, include/sys/profil.h * include/sys/statfs.h, include/sys/sysctl.h * include/sys/sysinfo.h, include/ttyent.h, include/utmp.h * sysdeps/arm/nacl/include/bits/setjmp.h * sysdeps/mips/include/sys/asm.h * sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/include/sys/sysinfo.h * sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/include/sys/timex.h * sysdeps/x86/fpu/include/bits/fenv.h: Add #ifndef _ISOMAC guard around internal declarations. Remove TEST_IFUNC, tests-ifunc and *-ifunc.c tests.
TEST_IFUNC is only tested in two headers, bench-string.h and test-string.h, after it gets defined by those headers, and it never gets undefined. Thus no defines of TEST_IFUNC are needed, and the *-ifunc.c tests that just define TEST_IFUNC and include other tests are also redundant, as is the code to remove $(tests-ifunc) and $(xtests-ifunc) conditionally from tests and xtests. This patch removes the useless defines and tests of TEST_IFUNC and the associated useless tests and makefile code. Don't require test wrappers to preserve environment variables, use more consistent environment.
One wart in the original support for test wrappers for cross testing, as noted in <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2012-10/msg00722.html>, is the requirement for test wrappers to pass a poorly-defined set of environment variables from the build system to the system running the glibc under test. Although some variables are passed explicitly via $(test-wrapper-env), including LD_* variables that simply can't be passed implicitly because of the side effects they'd have on the build system's dynamic linker, others are passed implicitly, including variables such as GCONV_PATH and LOCPATH that could potentially affect the build system's libc (so effectively relying on any such effects not breaking the wrappers). In addition, the code in cross-test-ssh.sh for preserving environment variables is fragile (it depends on how bash formats a list of exported variables, and could well break for multi-line variable definitions where the contents contain things looking like other variable definitions). This patch moves to explicitly passing environment variables via $(test-wrapper-env). Makefile variables that previously used $(test-wrapper) are split up into -before-env and -after-env parts that can be passed separately to the various .sh files used in testing, so those files can then insert environment settings between the two parts. The common default environment settings in make-test-out are made into a separate makefile variable that can also be passed to scripts, rather than many scripts duplicating those settings (for testing an installed glibc, it is desirable to have the GCONV_PATH setting on just one place, so just that one place needs to support it pointing to an installed sysroot instead of the build tree). The default settings are included in the variables such as $(test-program-prefix), so that if tests do not need any non-default settings they can continue to use single variables rather than the split-up variables. Although this patch cleans up LC_ALL=C settings (that being part of the common defaults), various LANG=C and LANGUAGE=C settings remain. Those are generally unnecessary and I propose a subsequent cleanup to remove them. LC_ALL takes precedence over LANG, and while LANGUAGE takes precedence over LC_ALL, it only does so for settings other than LC_ALL=C. So LC_ALL=C on its own is sufficient to ensure the C locale, and anything that gets LC_ALL=C does not need the other settings. While preparing this patch I noticed some tests with .sh files that appeared to do nothing beyond what the generic makefile support for tests can do (localedata/tst-wctype.sh - the makefiles support -ENV variables and .input files - and localedata/tst-mbswcs.sh - just runs five tests that could be run individually from the makefile). So I propose another subsequent cleanup to move those to using the generic support instead of special .sh files. Include LOCPATH in default test environment.
Tests run using the default $(make-test-out) automatically get GCONV_PATH and LC_ALL set, whether or not those environment variables are actually needed for the individual test. However, they do not get LOCPATH set, meaning that a large number of tests have -ENV settings just to set LOCPATH. This patch moves LOCPATH into the default environment used for all tests, on the principle that like GCONV_PATH any settings needed to use files associated with the newly built library, rather than any old installed files, are appropriate to use by default. A further motivation is that various tests using .sh files also set some combination of LC_ALL, GCONV_PATH and LOCPATH. Preferably .sh files should also use the default environment with any additions required for the individual test. Now, it was suggested in <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-05/msg00715.html> that various Makefile variables used in testing should be derived by composing the -before-env and -after-env variables used when explicit environment settings are required. With such a change, it's also natural for those variables to include the default settings (via some intermediate makefile variable also used in make-test-out). Because some .sh files only set variables that correspond to the default settings, or a subset thereof, and this applies to more of the .sh files once LOCPATH is in the default settings, doing so reduces the size of a revised version of <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-05/msg00596.html>: scripts only needing the (expanded) default settings will not need to receive the separate -before-env and -after-env variables, only the single variable they do at present. So moving LOCPATH into the default settings can reduce churn caused by subsequent patches. Generate overall summary of test results.
This patch, an updated version of <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-01/msg00197.html>, makes testsuite runs generate an overall summary of test results. A new script merge-test-results.sh deals both with collecting results within a directory to a file with all the results from that directory, and collecting the results from subdirectories into a single overall file (there's not much in common between the two modes of operation of the script, but it seemed silly to have two separate scripts for this). Within a directory, missing results produce UNRESOLVED lines; at top level, missing results for a whole directory produce an ERROR line (since toplevel can't identify what the specific missing tests are in this case). Note that this does not change the rules for when "make" considers there has been an error, or terminates, so unexpected failures will still cause make to terminate, or, with -k, mean the commands for "tests" don't get run because of failure of a dependency. Tested x86_64, including that the summary does in fact reflect all the tests with .test-result files. * scripts/merge-test-results.sh: New file. * Makefile (tests-special-notdir): New variable. Enumerate tests with special rules in tests-special variable.
This patch is a revised and updated version of <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-01/msg00196.html>. In order to generate overall summaries of the results of all tests in the glibc testsuite, we need to identify and concatenate the files with the results of individual tests. Tomas Dohnalek's patch used $(common-objpfx)*/*.test-result for this. However, the normal glibc approach is explicit enumeration of the expected set of files with a given property, rather than all files matching some pattern like that. Furthermore, we would like to be able to mark tests as UNRESOLVED if the file with their results is for some reason missing, and in future we would like to be able to mark tests as UNSUPPORTED if they are disabled for a particular configuration (rather than simply having them missing from the list of tests as at present). Such handling of tests that were not run or did not record results requires an explicit enumeration of tests. For the tests following the default makefile rules, $(tests) (and $(xtests)) provides such an enumeration. Others, however, are added directly as dependencies of the "tests" and "xtests" makefile targets. This patch changes the makefiles to put them in variables tests-special and xtests-special, with appropriate dependencies on the tests listed there then being added centrally. Those variables are used in Rules and so need to be set before Rules is included in a subdirectory makefile, which is often earlier in the makefile than the dependencies were present before. We previously discussed the question of where to include Rules; see the question at <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2012-11/msg00798.html>, and a discussion in <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2013-01/msg00337.html> of why Rules is included early rather than late in subdirectory makefiles. It was necessary to avoid an indirection through the check-abi target and get the check-abi-* targets for individual libraries into the tests-special variable. The intl/ test $(objpfx)tst-gettext.out, previously built only because of dependencies from other tests, was also added to tests-special for the same reason. The entries in tests-special are the full makefile targets, complete with $(objpfx) and .out. If a future change causes tests to be named consistently with a .out suffix, this can be changed to include just the path relative to $(objpfx), without .out. Tested x86_64, including that the same set of files is generated in the build directory by a build and testsuite run both before and after the patch (except for changes to the elf/tst-null-argv.debug.out.<number> file name), and a build with run-built-tests=no to verify there aren't any more obvious instances of the issue Marcus Shawcroft reported with a previous version in <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-01/msg00462.html>. * Makefile (tests): Change dependencies to .... Generate .test-result files for ordinary tests.
This patch, an updated version of <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2014-01/msg00193.html>, starts the process of generating explicit PASS or FAIL status for individual glibc tests. It's based on Tomas Dohnalek's patch <https://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/2012-10/msg00278.html>, but is deliberately more minimal: it doesn't try to cover any tests outside of $(tests) / $(xtests) (that's for a later patch), nor does it put the result together in an overall summary file (again, a later patch): it just generates the .test-result files. Thus, this patch keeps the overall logic for when a testsuite run finishes completely unchanged: a test failing will terminate the run. I think we *should* move to a more conventional approach where plain "make check" does not terminate for an individual test failure, unless e.g. you say "make stop-on-test-failure=y check", but that sort of policy change is best done as a separate patch once the infrastructure is in place to generate summary files for completed test runs (which will entirely consist of PASS and XFAIL lines if the testsuite run reaches the point of generating them, until such a policy change is made). Tested x86_64. 2014-02-14 Tomas Dohnalek <tdohnale@redhat.com> Joseph Myers <joseph@codesourcery.com> * Makeconfig (test-name): New variable. Don't use run-via-rtld-prefix for anything other than tests
run-via-rtld-prefix checks whether the program to be run is a static test and skips if it is. This is fine, except that it assumes that the program to be run is the second $^, which is true only for tests. This change creates an rtld-prefix, which is simply the dynamic linker prefix with the necessary arguments and uses that in the non-test targets. |
