The copy of cgen was with commit d1dd5fcc38ead reverted as that commit breaks building of bfp opcodes files.	4 years ago

Andreas Arnez	9811697376	PR26279 Work around maybe-uninitialized warning in s390-mkopc.c In s390-mkopc.c, the function insertExpandedMnemonic() searches for the first occurrence of '' or '$' in the given mnemonic, and, if a match is found, chooses an extension table using a switch() on that character. The switch statement contains a default case that prints an error message and does not set the extension table. Although this case cannot occur, some GCC versions obviously conclude that the extension table might have been left uninitialized after the switch statement and consequently emit maybe-uninitialized warnings for the variables 'ext_table' and 'ext_table_length'. Circumvent the warning by handling the unreachable default case with abort(). opcodes/ s390-mkopc.c (insertExpandedMnemonic): Handle unreachable default case with abort() instead of printing an error message and continuing, to avoid a maybe-uninitialized warning.	6 years ago

Andreas Krebbel	a09f258601	S/390: Improve error checking for optional operands So far we only had an instruction flag which made an arbitrary number of operands optional. This limits error checking capabilities for instructions marked that way. With this patch the optparm flag only allows a single optional parameter and another one is added (optparm2) allowing 2 optional arguments. Hopefully we won't need more than that in the future. Andreas Krebbel	64025b4ec9	S/390: Add support for new cpu architecture - arch12. This adds support of new instructions to the S/390 specific parts. The important feature of the new instruction set is the support of single and extended precision floating point vector operations. Note: arch12 is NOT the official name of the new CPU. It just continues the series of archXX options supported as alternate names. The archXX terminology refers to the edition number of the Principle of Operations manual. The official CPU name will be added later while keeping support of the arch12 for backwards compatibility. No testsuite regressions. Committed to mainline. Andreas Krebbel	952c3f51ac	S/390: Add alternate processor names. This patch adds alternate CPU names which adhere to the number of the architecture document. So instead of having z196, zEC12, and z13 you can use arch9, arch10, and arch11. The old cpu names stay valid and should primarily be used.
