Luca Boccassi	9e2bb0cb5e	ld: add --package-metadata Generate a .note.package FDO package metadata ELF note, following the spec: https://systemd.io/ELF_PACKAGE_METADATA/ If the jansson library is available at build time (and it is explicitly enabled), link ld to it, and use it to validate that the input is correct JSON, to avoid writing garbage to the file. The configure option --enable-jansson has to be used to explicitly enable it (error out when not found). This allows bootstrappers (or others who are not interested) to seamlessly skip it without issues.	4 years ago

The copy of cgen was with commit d1dd5fcc38ead reverted as that commit breaks building of bfp opcodes files.	5 years ago

Add link_info to struct output_elf_obj_tdata to store linker info and _bfd_get_link_info() to retrieve it. 2. Add ldelf_set_output_arch to set up link_info. 3. Add pex64_link_add_symbols to create an indirect reference to __executable_start for __ImageBase to support R_AMD64_IMAGEBASE relocation when adding symbols from Windows x86-64 relocatable object files to generate x86-64 ELF executable. 4. Alan Modra	d871d47806	Move elf32.em and elf-generic.em functions Many ELF linker targets support multiple "emulations" and thus have multiple copies of elf32.em being compiled and linked into ld. This patch moves much of elf32.em and elf-generic.em into files which will be compiled just once, resulting in a 20% decrease in ld size for --enable-targets=all. * Makefile.am (ALL_EMUL_EXTRA_OFILES): Add ldelf and ldelfgen. (CFILES, HFILES, EXTRA_ld_new_SOURCES): Likewise. * configure.tgt: Formatting.
